During the 12th and 13th of June 2017, we had the opportunity to present Avantio and its services to more than 50 owners and vacation rental property managers of tourist rentals in Tenerife and Las Palmas de Gran Canarias in collaboration with Asociación Canaria del Alquiler Vacacional, ASCAV, and the presence of the President Doris, Javier Martin and Javier Valentin.

Thanks to events like these, we can understand the needs and difficulties of the market, get closer to local Property Managers and the Associations that represent them. Avantio is dedicated to working together with Associations in order to build and develop the industry professionally, through support, information and training.
One of the things that caught our attention at this event, is that many of the vacation rental agencies that were present continue to work with processes that incorporate elements of manual updates, managing the accommodation in each portal and updating all calendars manually across all portals. These are processes which can be completely automated using the technical solutions available through the Avantio vacation rental management software, making significant time and resource savings to enable business growth and profitability.
Tourism in the Canary Islands is active from September to June, thanks to its climate that allows a pleasant temperature during the winter. So the decision of the Association ASCAV and Avantio to do the events during the days in June, was a strategic decision, as during this period vacation rental companies are in low season and it is a good time to give training and help them prepare for the next season with Avantio solutions, which will facilitate their day to day processes and management.
In the Canary Islands in general there is a great potential for vacation rentals, and the vacation rental property agencies in this market need support to manage their properties to maximise the growth of the industry, so training days like these are particularly important for property managers in this market.
